2) a. DTaP: Administer all diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis vaccines (DT, DTaP, Td, and Tdap) by the intramuscular route. The preferred injection site in infants and young children is the vastus lateralis muscle of the thigh. The preferred injection site in older children and adults is the deltoid muscle in the upper arm.

b. HAV: The primary dose should be given at least 2 weeks prior to expected exposure to HAV. Children/Adolescents (12 months through 18 years of age): The vaccination schedule consists of a primary 0.5-mL dose administered intramuscularly and a 0.5-mL booster dose administered intramuscularly 6 to 18 months later.

c. HBV:Hepatitis B vaccine should be administered by intramuscular injection.

d. HPV: HPV vaccines should be administered intramuscularly in the deltoid region of the upper arm or in the higher anterolateral area of the thigh. The preferred site of administration is the deltoid region of the upper arm. Do not administer this product intravenously, intradermally, or subcutaneously.
