Answer:

Asset- Asset is something that has value and claims ownership of a person or the company. Asset has the value that can be sold when company is getting liquidated or bankrupt so that proceeds can be used in repaying debt. Any tangible or intangible property that creates value and helps generate revenue for the company is called an Asset.

Types of Assets- Mainly two types of assets:

Tangible Assets- Assets that can be seen and touched and kept in physical form.

Examples: Building, Machinery, Equipment, Cash, Inventory etc.

Intangible Assets- Assets that cannot be seen and touched but only can be felt.

Examples: Goodwill, Patent, Copyright, Trade mark etc.

In my opinion, Brand represents valuable asset. A brand is the most valuable asset of the company. With the help of brand, people recognize the company and its products/services. Brand image of company creates an impression and perception in customer's mind. Companies concentrate on their brand image and value so as to increase the revenues, profits and market share.
