3 advantages of breast feeding are :-

- it provides immunity to the baby to fight in the initial of birth until his own bodys immunity develops , as it contains immunoglobulins , vitamins , minerals

- it helps in proper growth and development of baby as it contains , carbohydrates ,proteins ,fat , vitamins and minerals.

- it helps to build the bonding between mother and child

- it prevents the mother from development of mastitis , breast and ovarian cancer in future and also helps in involution of uterus .

- it also acts as contraceptive .

3 potential disadvantages of breast feeding are :-

- mother must be available for feeding

- its painful

- feeling embarrassed

- transmission of infection by direct contact
