The IOM has five important core principles, where the patient are engaged themselves in their own care by supporting to making a care planned as per their needs and requirements. This is called as patient centered care

The Personal health record is a very efficient tool to invole the patient in their care and improve the quality of care by managing the chronic illness

PHR will reduce the utilization in the healthcare

Healthcare policy makers are the one who are in a situation and in plans to provide a quality care in an affordable cost .
