3. a - If the cuff size is wrong size it could give a reading that is too high or low.

3. b - large cuff has given the correct readings as we need take the measurements with the right cuff, right cuff for body builders with biceps circumference larger than 33cm is Large Cuff. See below cuff measurements

1. Measurement - Cm

17-22 - Small Cuff

22-32 - Medium cuff

32-42 - Large Cuff

4. The patient feels uncomfortable and painful. a tight cuff will inflate to a higher blood pressure and wrong reading will be recorded.

5. Usually the sphygmomanometer is inflated to 200mm Hg to check Arterial blood pressure measurement.

in this case when the cuff was inflated to 200mm Hg the artery was completely blocked and the pressure was then gradually lowered when pressure dropped below a certain threshold the blood was resumed. The turbulent flow during the resumption allows two methods to measure blood pressure

1. Palpatory method

2.Auscultatory Method

In palpatory method, records the pressure at which the subject feels the first pulse in the artery, the detected pulse is systolic pressure

In Auscultatory method the pulse is detected via a stethoscope placed in the ante cubical fossa over the brachial artery , when the cuff pressure is higher than the systolic pressure no sound is to be heard the pressure at which the first sound is heard is systolic pressure and the pressure at which sound disappears is diastolic pressure

5. The most common injury is tibial shaft injury In turn causes injury to the posterior tibial artery
