Basically what we are thought in our institution are not what we practice in the practical settings. We learn each procedure step by step from handwashing to documentation , but in the practical scenario it's something different . The main reason for this is staff shortage in the organisation. When there is burden on you you won't follow the steps of the procedure what we have learnt in our classess . We are always in a hurry to complete the work ,its just that we came and went .

Our professional is a Nobel profession and it's marked for the care the nurses provide . But when you don't have time to talk to your patient then it's just a waste . A patient's half of the disease is relieved by talking to a person who listens him and allows the patient to express his feelings and this is the task which is the essential part of nurses .

But when it's about the organisation who just want to recruit less staff nurses at less payment its worthless . Nurses should take initiatives to conduct researches and use the outcomes in practice to evolve new inventions and use these evidence to provide the rationale .

My professional goal is to first achieve the objective of nursing that is to provide proper patient care based on evidence based practice and it's possible only when the staffs - patient ratio is 1:2 . With a patient ratio of 1:4 you can't provide care efficiently and it's against the justice of the patients for being equally treated and also there are more chances of malpractice and negligence .
