Why is it important to evaluate sources for credibility, reliability, and bias? What are possible consequences for not evaluating sources for these items? The DQ response must be 150-200 word

Credibility in research refers to the source used are appropriate and believable. The researcher who is trying to research on a particular subject or concept should match the validity or credibility or appropriateness to it.If not done done it is working without a goal .One cannot expect to get the result which he is working towards.It should have a proper aim,there should be step by step and comprehensive literature available ,ethical standards to be maintained ,data collection and analysis to be don two arise in a conclusion.Consequences of not using this innthe right way will be aimless research.

Reliability refers to the trustworthiness of in the reserresearch done.It is mostly used in psychological research.It produce similar result in consistent condition where a dilemma doesn't exist.For example assessing the height and weight,gender and age.It should be repetitive of others because continuous repeated results give more reliability. Failure or consequence of not following this can give a wrong expected results and needs further and future evaluation.

Bias refers to the systemic error occurring in the research. When there is a bias the research looses its validity.While some of the study designs are more prone forth bbias universally .It can be informational bias,confounding bias or selection bias.Usually a little bias is acceptable at some point but if it overweight the reliability and credibility it may lead to poor effects in the research design and results.
