#. Coulter Principle :-

Cells are sized and counted by detecting and measuring changes in electrical resistance when a particle passes through a small aperture. This is called electrical impedance principle of counting cells

Coulter pulse editing (Coulter Principle)

When counting, the number of voltage pulses represents the cell count provided the cell size (determined by the size of the pulse) falls within the specified range. Cell volume is derived from voltage size/height or amplitude. Cells register different pulse patterns depending on how they pass through the aperture. The Coulter eliminates all except those that pass through the center.
