1)Atelectasis.

It is the partial or complete collapse of lung caused by the blockage of lungs or external pressure on lungs and mostly it is the use of general anesthesia.

Symptoms include.

Trouble breathing, cough,sharp chest pain, increase in heart rate,blue color apperence on skin, nails and lips.

Treatement include.

Breathing exercises,broncoscopy,chest physiotherapy,drainage and in some cases surgery.

2) Incentive spirometry

It is a device which measures how deeply we inhale.

It is connected with a air chamber on one end and has a mouth piece at other.It is used to improve the lung functioning.

Instructions to use.

Keep the mouth piece on mouth without closing it with toungue.

To raise the indicator we should inhale deeply and slowly.

After inhaling at your capacity remove the mouthpiece and try to contain the air for.3 seconds.

Normally exhale.

Repeat the process for as directed by physician.

The mouth piece should be cleaned each time with water and.soap.

Keep the results which will help the providers in knowing of any improvement.
