The Epidemiologic Transition represents a shift towards a higher burden of infectious diseases to chronic diseases in low and middle-income countries.

Answer - (False)

It's true that the Epidemiologic transitions mainly represent a shift towards a higher burden of infectious diseases to chronic diseases but it's not only in low and middle-income countries, its also in developed countries.

It's mainly due to the development of public health and its strategies which developed food security, drinking water safety, prevention strategies, awareness, and development in medicine that leads to decrease mortality, morbidity and decrease fertility rate, increase the life span of peoples.

This is the reason that infectious diseases are not now a burden in the world but due to lifestyle changes and technology advancement peoples are adopting a bad and sedentary lifestyle. This is the reason that now burdens of non-communicable and chronic disese increasing day by day.
