FIVE PILLAR OF ISLAM ARE

SHAHADAH

  • First pillar
  • This is the pillar of faith
  • According to them, Allah is the only God and his messenger is Mohammad
  • They very sincerely follow all the rules of Islam

SALAT

  • Second pillar
  • This pillar signifies the daily prayer
  • They pray five times in a day
  • Five prayers are:
  • At the time of sunrise: Salat-al-fajr
  • The early part of the afternoon: Salat-ul-Jahr
  • The late part of the afternoon: Salt- al- asr
  • At the time of sunset: Salat-al-maghrib
  • Between sunset and midnight: Salat-al-isha

ZAKAT

  • Third pillar
  • This signifies charity
  • In this rich muslim help poor by giving a fix amount of wealth(2.5%)every year to benefit the poor
  • They obyed god

SAWM

  • Fourth pillar
  • Signifies fasting during Ramadan
  • They fast during the whole month(ramadan is the ninth month according to muslim calendar)

HAJJ

  • last and fifth pillar
  • it means a pilgrimage to mecca
  • mecca is the holy place for all muslims
  • this is the place where every muslim want to go once in his life

2nd part

Description about sawm

  • The fourth pillar of Islam
  • It means fasting in the month of Ramadan
  • Ramadan is the holy month which comes in the ninth month of muslim calender
  • They do fasting for the whole month
  • It is predicted that muslim do fasting from sunrise to sunset
  • During the daylight hours they left things like

Food or drink

Smoking

Sexual activity

  • When daylight is over,they open their fast with dates and water
  • Fasting results in:

Making them spiritually stronger

Learning self-discipline

Charity

Sharing fellowship

They celebrate end of Ramadan by eid-ul-fitr

  • According to muslims sawm is the month of fasting
  • They are doing their best to avoid negative thoughts and action
  • They realize the importance of charity
  • They make their bond strong with their fellow people
  • This month makes them spiritually stronger
  • They learn the importance of discipline
  • They ended the month by celebrating eid-ul-fitr
  • They dressed up and go to mosque for prayer and visit their family members and friends to strengthen their bond

Difference between suffism pillars

Shahadah

  • According to Sufis dhikr or state of ecstasy leads to god
  • They believe in mystical way to find god

Zakat

Sufis did not accept charity they voluntarily accept poverty and refrain from any kind of worldly pleasure

Hajj

Suffis doesnot believe pilgrimage to mecca

5th part
