Answer: Patient having depression are more prone to suicide. This is also known as major depressive disorder. In depression, patient suffers from mood swing, loss of interest/pleasure in activities, fatigue or loss of energy, feelings of worthlessness or excessive or inappropriate guilt and recurring thoughts of death, suicidal ideation, or having a suicide plan or suicide attempt. When a patient is depressed, there is a lack of energy, due to depression patient is more prone to cardiovascular disease as well as gastrointestinal disease. The treatment of depression can be consists of maintain a healthy, balanced diet to ensure that getting all the nutrition need to perform best, avoid smoking, alcohol, and drug use, avoid or eliminate stressful situations etc.
