Answer #1

The revenue income earned by Starbucks for the period ending September 29, 2019 stood at $26,508.6 million.

In terms of profit the company earned $3,596.6 million as profits. This translates to roughly a profit margin of 13.57%.

The company is in the business of selling coffee and other beverages like tea etc. and earns its revenues from sale of these beverages and food items through company owned stores. Starbucks also earns revenue from licensed stores as well as from merchandising.

The big plan of the company is to expand its global store base and the company plans to add stores in both developed markets like USA, Europe, etc. and developing markets like China, India etc. The company also plans to offer new coffee and other new products in a variety of forms and across new categories. The company is also looking at alternative store formats.

In terms of social media and marketing Starbucks uses these digital platforms to create a narrative for their products and to engage the customers in the target market in a more meaningful and all-encompassing manner. This ensures that Starbucks is perceived more as a product or a seller of great coffee but rather is perceived as a seller of good experiences.
