CHD is the leading cause of death in the world with a complex causal model. if Public health is to slow the epidemic a multi level multi pronged approach is needed. Also determine the level of Freiden's pyramid that would best characterize each intervention. Explain which of the three interventions would have the greatest impact. CHD is coronary heart disease refers to a narrowing of the coronary arteries the blood vessels that supply oxygen and blood to the heart

Primary prevention is

a) Life style modification which include Diet and smoking cessation

In diet high in fibre ,fruits, vegetables intake

Low in simple sugar and salt

In cessation of smoking _should avoid smoking because it cause vasoconstriction of vessels

Secondary prevention of CHD

Medical intervention

In medication- aspirin,beta blockers,nitrates, calcium channel blockers

Tertiary prevention of CHD

Rehabilitation after a disease occurred which include revascularization in CABG coronary artery bypass grafting can be done

In all three prevention primary prevention is better because prevention is better than cure.
