Risk management has proved to be highly beneficial in reducing the invasiveness of surgical procedures and the benefits account for both clinical and financial advantages. The major clinical advantage identified by development of risk management in invasive surgery includes the reduces prevalence of infection and surgery related infection. It is common that invasive procedure leads to infection and mainly surgical site infection. The risk management has developed during ages and has provided alternate techniques for invasive surgical procedures, using lasers, laproscopic guidance etc. this provides reduced prevalence of post surgical complications and infection. Financial benefits includes reduced cost. The risk management resulted in reducing the need for surgical procedures and prevents condition where the invasive procedures are required leading to cost effectiveness and also saves the financial burden of diseases and procedures on the health and social care facilities.
