1). FVA = Annuity x [{(1 + r)n - 1} / r]

= $720 x [{(1.1071)5 - 1} / 0.1071]

= $720 x [0.6632 / 0.1071] = $720 x 6.1920 = $4,458.22

2). EAR = [1 + (APR / 12)]12 - 1

= [1 + (0.135 / 12)]12 - 1 = 1.1437 - 1 = 0.1437, or 14.37
