1. False- Since the null hypothesis always contains the equality symbol not the alternative hypothesis.

2. True- Through the hypothesis test we only conclude whether to accept or reject the null hypothesis. So if we conclude that the null hypothesis is false that means we accept the claim that were testing in the alternative hypothesis.

3. False- This is a right tailed test as we can see the > symbol in the alternative hypothesis. (For left tailed the symbol in alternative hypothesis should be <)

4. The correct hypothesis here to refute that the average student studies for 3 hours for the exam would be:

Hn : u=3 vs Ha: u not equal 3

So option c is correct.
