Infant death rates in in 2019 in fayette is 5.9 and in Jefferson is 6.7 per 1000 live births . In Kentucky in the year 2018 there we 6.7 infant deaths per 1000 live births... The infant mortality rate is highest among black women than white women.. the main causes are premature birth, birth defects , and sudden infant death syndrome.
