Improvements in Quality can lead to

Increases in throughput time

Throughput time is the time taken for a product to get manufactured. Usually it involves the time right from raw materials to finished products conversion. The following times are part of it

  • Processing time
  • Inspection time
  • Move time
  • Wait time

when Quality is maintained right the time consumed in above process will be reduced and hence it will lead to higher throughput time
