WHAT SHOULD A HEALTHY INCISION LOOK LIKE :

There are two conditions required for wound healing - systemic and local factors, Systemic factors involves good nutritional status and general health, however a local factors involves good supply of blood to provide oxygen and nutrients and removes waste products and prevents any infection.

The signs and symptoms of healthy incision is :

• No redness at the site.
• No tenderness.
• The temperature is not warm.
• No discharge or pus formation.
• No any foul smell or odor at the incision site.
