In 6 M HCl no precipitate was observed. That means there in no Ag+ in the sample. Because if it was there then precipitate of AgCl would have been a must observed phenomenon. So, ION ABSENT : Ag+.

In NH4Cl , NH3 buffer system, Al(OH)3 precipitates not Zn(OH)2. Because solubility product of the later one is quite higher than the former one. Also, from the concept of qualitative detection, we detect Zn by the precipitation of ZnS in alkalined medium because it has much lower solubility. So, the precipitate formed in our case is for Al(OH)3 only. So, ION PRESENT : Al3+.

Since, no test for determination of Zn is done, so it can not be determined. So, ION UNDETERMINED : Zn2+.
