organisation. Their reporting is done to the management.
External workers are the ones who are not directly related to the
company. External workers can be auditors, temporary staff, workers
on a contract basis and free lancers.
Internal audit is a value added service for the organisation. It provides a clear picture on the day-to-day working, it covers all areas of the organisation with compliance point of view,check on the accounting procedures, review of financial information, evaluation of internal control system, helps accomplishing objectives.
The report of internal auditor is relied and used by many among the organisation and outsiders as well.
To directly reply and rely on the work of internal auditors is that of the management and external auditors. No other external workers directly reply to the work of internal auditors, but yes they can rely. As the report is very useful and it provides information on the overall working of organisation, it is okay to rely on the work provided the internal audit team is competent.
