Answer #1

Molar mass of Ag = 107.9 g/mol

use:

mass of Ag,

m = number of mol * molar mass

= 1 mol * 107.9 g/mol

= 107.9

Now use:

Density = mass / volume

10.5 g/cm^3 = 107.9 g / volume

Volume = 10.28 cm^3

we have:

Radius = diameter / 2

= 0.500 mm /2

= 0.250 mm

= 0.0250 cm

Now use:

Volume = pi*r^2*l

10.28 = 3.14 * (0.0250)^2 * l

l = 5.24*10^3 cm

l = 52.4 m

Answer: 52.4 m
