Apply the SWEATT model in a HIT application (e.g., in how HIT is installed, how HIT is implemented, how HIT is designed). Then discuss the benefits and difficulties of using the SWEATT model in a HIT application. For example, was it difficult to develop the movement points? How might the SWEATT model be used to help drive HIT innovation and HIT outcomes (e.g., patient care, HIT user satisfaction, and HIT use efficiency and effectiveness)?

The SWEATT model is different in my opinion, because it focuses more on business analytics with specific departments of a company. The SWOT focuses on the strengths and weaknesses of a business as a whole. Strengths- focusing on the strong points of the company, servicing teams, manufacturing teams, etc. The strengths of the company that keeps them competitiveagainst their competitors. Weaknesses-focus on the points where a team, department,or company is not successful. How do you make these weaknesses strengths in the company. Excellence-Completing tasks, work responsibilities, and work duties with excellence. Actions- Practice what you preach simply by following the core values of the company. These actions must be implemented and followed by corporate management, mid-level management and lower level employees on a consistent basis.

Threats-Simply is the competitive advantage that your competitors have against you. Team-Being able to complete company tasks between your management, peers and consumers on a daily basis. The number one step to completing working tasks as a team is by having cohesive communication plan. Communication is key.

AMSWEATT stands for strengths, weaknesses, excellence, actions, and teams. The strengths describe the competitive advantages of the organization. Weaknesses describe the competitive disadvantages that the organization will face. The excellence section shows asignificant improvement of the organization's products, services, processes, and drives more competitive advantage for the organization. Actions are necessary to increase the strengths of the organization, decrease the weaknesses, and achieve excellence. The threats section discusses how the organization will eliminate threats from occurring within the organization. In the team section, the team members are listed who will be an incrementalpart of the SWEATT process. The SWEATT model should link to the goal within the organization, which will help leaders make informed decisions and stay on track with the goals of the business.

I think the SWEATT model should tie back into the goals of the organization by focusing on the strengths and weaknesses that contribute to the current projects being proposed and worked on. The actions and team and threats should relate to the current state of affairs going on in the business.

The SWEATT model should use specific examples that help describe how the organization is currently doing business and how the company's strategy can be improved to increase its competitive advantage. Current threats can be discussed using the model as a tool to diagnose the threats and prevent it from happening.
