Yes, federal government should exercise more control on research. In every nation many pharma driven , intramural and academic trials or researches are going on in medical field . These researches are approved and funded by the government and private sector depending upon the body who conducts research. Research can be done by anyone but whether it's done for the purpose or not matters that's where the control of government comes into action. Many organization just to get the funds enroll and then they provide fake data , many leave in-between trials because of the strict monitoring , many times ethics are not followed etc so all these has to be controlled by government because when it's providing the funds for extra staff ,material etc it has the right to have a control on researches which are undergoing . Because we are doing research for new evolution of drugs , technologies etc to help the country for its growth and development in the medical field.When it does not fulfill the criteria the agreement must be cancelled and funds must be stopped and should develop a separate committee for surveillance.
