UCP:

Unregulated care providers are those who provide care to clients and patient but not regulate under  Regulated health professional acts. eg) Phyisican assistant, personal support worker, Aide, Attendant.

LEADERSHIP:

• When teaching or working with UCP the nurse should have the first-hand knowledge of it.
• The Nurse can perform the controlled act whereas the UCP cannot.
• The Nurse performs Teaching, delegation, assigning and supervising.
• Teaching involves the nurse teaches and provide instruction for a UCP to perform a procedure.
• Delegating a task or providing authority to perform controlled acts.
• Assigning is determining and allocating a task to another person including both controlled and uncontrolled acts.
• Supervising involves managing and directing or observing the acts performed by UCP.
