Answer #1

In social media, a good ethic equals a better perspective and the best thinking on how to leverage social media appropriately and how to engage people in the right manner. It is very important to remember that whenever you connect with a social media network, you are joining a community. In any community, there is a right time to discuss business. You need to be sure to treat the people in your community with respect and kindness. Aggressive targeted marketing has no place in social media. Your inspiration for being a part of the community is to give others the benefit of your experience and to build relationships with other members of your community.

Many brands violate this ethical boundary because most of them are interested in aggressive marketing as a part of which they are losing transparency and authenticity. Nivea had an advertisement that was based on white is purity which turned out to be controversial in terms of racism and ethnicity of people. Being ethical means being sensitive to human emotion.

Using your professional experience as a backdrop, provide examples of managers who have demonstrated ethical behavior (or not) and discuss how this affected...

Social responsibility is an obligation whereby organizations should have to behave in ways that do not harm their customers, employees, other people or the environment. In a purely economic sense, this is counter-intuitive. Absent a real threat of financial harm, an organization has no incentive to behave in a socially responsible manner. To state it another way, if it increases the Company's cost but does not increase profits, why should a company behave in a socially responsible manner? Laws and...
