Answer #1

ANSWER:-

Given data,

8.6 9.4 8.7 9.4 9.5 9.7 9.0 9.3 9.1 8.7 8.7

a).Here, we have to find the mean:-

Mean=(8.6+9.4+8.7+9.4+9.5+9.7+9.0+9.3+9.1+8.7+8.7)/11

=100.1/11

=9.1

The mean is 9.1 inches

b).Here, we have to find the median:-

First we arrange the given values in ascending order then,

8.6,8.7,8.7,8.7,9.0,9.1,9.3,9.4,9.4,9.5,9.7

The median is middle term of the ascending values

The median is 9.1 inches

c).Here, we have to calculate the mode:-

8.6,8.7,8.7,8.7,9.0,9.1,9.3,9.4,9.4,9.5,9.7

more times repeated number

The mode is 8.7 inches.

d).Here, we have to find the mid range:-

Range=largest value -Smallest value

=9.7-8.6

=1.1

The mid range is 1.1 inches.

e).Option d is correct
