Evaluate how much political and ruling power our Founders might originally have intended to bestow upon the new United States government. Has the structure created by the founders allowed a necessary increase in the power of the state on behalf of the needs of the people (think Great Depression), or has it impermissibly expanded the role of government leading to an extinguishing of our liberties (think Tea Party), or some combination of the two? Explain.

USA is the world's most powerful country with the strongest defence system.

US constitution has gave so many powers to the President that it can sometimes to form a monarchy form of government but at the same time the constitution makers have given strong judiciary which will try to control the political power over the people by protecting their rights.

USA Constitution makers have intended to see that there is strong central power which coordinates the states.

The one major problem with USA Constitution makers made it flexible.

The major problem with USA is that it allowed the state to increase its power and also expanded the role of government leading to extinguishing of people liberties.

We can see the increase in power of state during Great depression and also we can see the failure of state in effective management of its own state which lead to Great depression. Even USA increase in political power not only in its countries but also other countries also lead to terrorist attacks on USA , Vietnam war and many more.

Political power is always good to some extent when it is not misused but once it is been misused everything will be unbalanced.

Sometimes Government have to take harsh decision for the safety of economy of the country. So it may go wrong with people and they even they start protesting also government have to take some policies for the welfare of the economy. So they have to extinguish the liberties of people otherwise economic condition of the country will get affected and leads to recession.

Ex: 2008 depression time government policies only made USA to recover fast from depression and come back to normal state.
