What is sampling theory? Describe it and provide examples to illustrate your definition. Discuss generalizability as it applies to nursing research. At least a reference
Answer: Sampling theory is a study of relationship between the population and the sample withdrawn from the population for the specific research. It is a kind of data anayanal between the population where samples are taken to know about the distributive data. It is a random selection of the population.
In general it is a study of collecting, sampling and analysing the data. The application of sampling theory is concerned not only with the proper selection of observations from the population that will constitute the random sample; it also involves the use of probability theory, along with prior knowledge about the population parameters, to analyze the data from the random sample and develop conclusions from the analysis.
If we take example of sampling theory such as testing any disease that has occurred in an specific area. So the samples are being drawn from that population randomly and then it get analysed.
