Answer #1

a)

From balanced chemical equation,

Mol of Ni produced = (3/2)*moles of Al reacted

= (3/2)*3.00 mol

= 4.50 mol

Answer: 4.50 mol

b)

From balanced chemical equation,

Mol of AlCl3 produced = (2/2)*moles of Al reacted

= (2/2)*3.00 mol

= 3.00 mol

Answer: 3.00 mol

c)

From balanced chemical equation,

Mol of NiCl2 required = (3/2)*moles of Al reacted

= (3/2)*4.00 mol

= 6.00 mol

Mass of NiCl2 required = Mol of NiCl2 required * molar mass of NiCl2

= 6.00 mol * 129.6 g/mol

= 777.6 g

Answer: 778 g
