= (1115+697 - 97)/3436

= 0.499 (ANSWER)

= P(Female) + P(Non-nursing major) - P(Female and Non-nursing major)

= 2321/3436 + 2739/3436 - 1721/3439

= (2321+ 2739 - 1721)/3436

= 0.972 (ANSWER).

P(Not-female or Nursing major)

= P(Not-female) + P(Nursing major) - P(Not-female and Nursing major)

= 1115/3436 + 697/3436 - 97/3436

= (1115 + 698 - 98)/3436
