Objective: To interview someone different from you. To find your interviewee, circle 4 terms (see below) you identify with. Find someone who identifies with a different term in the same category. Part 1: Introduction: Describe the context of the interview-who you interviewed, why they were selected and where the interview took place.

Part 2: What similarities and differences were uncovered?

Part 3: What aspects of the interview were most and least comfortable for you? Why?

Part 4: Conclusion: What key insights did you develop? What is the most significant thing you learned from the experience and how is this relevant to our discussion of diversity? (Connect directly to the course materials and discussion)

Answer #1

Part A.

I am interviewing a Christian to know the difference and similarities between them and myself.

The interview took place at my house when the person visited me because he is my neighbour.

Part B.

As I am a Hindu there is so many difference between my neighbour and me and he is middle class,American Christian and is an native american,he is of the generation X,gender is man, sexual orientation is bisexual and have suffering from hearing impairement.

Differences is iam an upper class and is an Hindu and nationality is India, from generation Y,and i am a women, and sexual orientation is straight, and iam able bodied. This caused several differences in a way we think differently and way of behaviour is different along with lifestyles.

Similarities is we have same values on our culture to follow them and to respect each other's culture and religion and spend a great amount of time for praying.

3)The most comfortable aspects in interview is that we are able to talk freely about religion and cultures we are born in and are living according to it.

The most uncomfortable aspects of the interview is the ways we see gender equality,he is saying that there will be always difference between male and female and females should always be backward nd cannot be able to fully give their best in working. This caused a most heated argument between ourselves because we think differently about equality between men and female. And due to his hearing impairment situation it required more time to explain it to him.

Part 4.

The key insights I've learned from this interview is that whatever the diversity may be or were ever the people live they may have several similarities between how they think and there may be differences but similarities are mostly seen in the way they think about religion or how they are living with certain values.

Significant thing I learned is that there is a lot of changes occuring in the way the people think about way of life and gender importance is changing from day to day.
