2pz with 2pz orbitals combined to form sigma bonding

and 2px with 2px and 2py-with 2py orbitals combined to form pi bonds.

px and py are combined simmilarly.

Bonding orbitals are formed when two same sign of electron cloud is combined.

Antibonding orbitals are formed when different sign of electron cloud is combined.

Sigma bonding: z axis is the internucleur axis.

Pi bonding : sideways combination.
