Answer #1

One of the main reason for the blood to be running along the finger tip is

"Before sample collection alcohol swab is used to clean or disinfect the site,if the alcohol is not let to dry and upon puncture on the skin will allow the blood to be mixed with the alcohol leading to blood running along the fingerprint rather than forming a drop of blood"

In these case the blood has to be wiped off ,this will remove the oozing blood completely and a new blood drop can be noticed and then collection can be done in a tube.
