Before writing a research paper you should write The Methods. The methods is one of the briefest sections of a research paper. In the methods, you need to explain how and why you gathered and analyzed data in enough detail that the reader could easily replicate your study. At this stage, you are only proposing how you will do this but note that after you collect data (perform the methods), you will revise this section into past tense to reflect that the research was indeed completed. In my video, I show you some examples of methods sections to assist you. Typically, this section describes the participants, settings, data collection processes, time frames, etc. It also discusses how data was analyzed or interpreted. It does not present any results however.

Please write your methods for the following research question: In what ways did European countries benefit from the Economy and Monetary Integration?

The following peer review questions should serve as a checklist for your methods:

  • How does the researcher begin this section?
  • How will the researcher collect data?
  • Why has the researcher chosen this method of data collection?
  • How will the researcher analyze the data collected?
  • Why has the researcher chosen this method of data analysis?
  • Who will the participants be?
  • Why has the researcher targeted these participants?
  • Where will the data collection take place?
  • When will the data collection take place?

1. The researcher should go through with the references and data available on the particular topic ways in which European countries benefit from the Economy and Monetary Integration, numerous people have written articles on the given topic. The researcher will read their opinions go through the data and then sort out advantages and disadvantages with the economy and monetary integration by observing the cost benefits, welfare increase, trade costs data of different periods of time and will make an analysis from that.

2. Secondary data will be collected for the given type of research.

Here the quantitative data will be collected from financial statements of European countries, the trade records government census, while the qualitative data will be collected from reports, interviews of the economists, and of course 'the internet'.

3. This method of data collection is chosen because this consists of examining existing data in the form of databases, meeting minutes, reports, attendance logs, financial records, newsletters, etc.and it is most suitable for research methodology.

4. The researcher will make a thesis statement and then extract the data, trim the data into important eras in the financial history of European countries with monetary integration and without monetary integration. compare the stats and then make notes, write points supporting the thesis.

5. Inferential statistics are used to determine the relationship between the various variables of the financial state of European countries and the policy of monetary integration.

6. The data collected is from secondary sources so there won't be any participants.
