Answer #1

Answer 1) a):- Mn(s) + Zn(NO3)2 (aq) \rightarrow Mn(NO3)2 (aq) + Zn (s)

b):- Mn ( manganese) is more reactive than Zn.

c) Ba (barium) is more reactive than Mn. Thus, Mn is unable to displace Ba from barium nitrate.

d):- test tube #2 shows reaction.

Test tube #1 does not shows any reaction. This is because Zn metal is lesser reactive than Mn and would not be able to displace it from its salt solution , that is,from manganese nitrate solution.

e):- The balanced chemical equation for the reaction that occurs in test tube #2.

Ba (s) + Zn(NO3)2 (aq) \rightarrow Ba(NO3)2 (aq) + Zn (s)

2) a):- Na3PO4 (aq) + FeCl3 (aq)  \rightarrow 3 NaCl (aq) + FePO4 (s)

b):- Evidence of reaction: Appearance of yellow-brown precipitate due to iron(III) phosphate.
