Epileptic seizures are caused due to abnormal neural activity in the brain. Uncontrolled electrical activity in brain causes seizures.

Seizures can be managed through anticonvulsant drugs like benzodiazepam or brain surgeries.

Deep brain stimulation of sub cortical brain structures also helps to control seizures.
