I am writing a resignation letter to my nursing employer. I just got this job and I have been training but I just feel its not a good fit for me. I took the job because I wanted to learn more about hands-on such as wound care, what to do during XYZ procedure, and medication names and what they are used for. Can someone help me make my letter flow better?

Subject: Resignation – Firstname Lastname

Dear Mr./Ms. Lastname,

Please accept this as my formal notice of resignation from XYZ Company. My last day will be today 11/8/2019. I am resigning because I wanted to learner more hands-on nursing and I found during my stay that everything that I was learning I already have done before, and the only new thing to learn would be the EPIC. Also, I am not a great driver and I found it stressful coming across the toll bridge during rush hour.

I don’t want to waste your time and a wonderful position someone else could have. Alise was and the night staff was wonderful. I just feel that this isn’t a good fit for me at the moment.

I appreciate your support during my tenure here, and I take with me the valuable experiences I have gained over the past couple of weeks. It has been a pleasure working with you and the team.

Please let me know how I can help during this transition. I wish you all the best as the company continues to grow.

Best regards,

Subject: Resignation from the post

Respected/ Dear Mr./ Mrs. Smith,

With due respect I would like to inform you that I am going to resign from this post and the company of XYZ. I would be working on 11/08/2019 as my last day at work. The reason for my resignation is that I have not met the actual expectation for joining your company. I had joined with the hope of learning new and more hands- on nursing processes and care, but during my stay here I realized that whatever I am learning here is something which I have done before and am thorough with all these procedures. The only new thing in this company for me to learn is the EPIC.

Also I have a problem with my travelling to work. As I am not a very good driver I find it very difficult and stressful to come across the toll bridge and at the specific time of rush hour. If I keep on hovering on this job which in my opinion is not a very good fit for me at the moment, then I will be wasting your time and will be depriving of the wonderful position from its rightful owner.

All your night shifts and Alice were very good towards me. I am very appreciative of the support that you and your company had provided me during my stay. I am leaving with the most valuable experiences that I have gained from here and the love of the people. It had been a very good pleasure working with you and your supportive team.

It would be my great honour to be a help and assistance if you need one during this transition period. I wish with all my heart that this company continues to grow and wish the company as well as each of its member all the very best.

Thanking you.

Best regards,
