Compare two different settings in which Paul might receive services, identifying the pros and cons of each. Stroke is an acute medical condition which needs a long term rehabilitation care . Rehabilitation care should start immediately once the patient is hemodynamically stable .the various options for rehabilitation services after discharge are .

1) Acute Rehab center or inpatient rehab center:This is the centre where a patient gets acute rehabilitation services for 4-6hrs a day.it will be mix of high intensity and low intensity exercises.Tgis centre needs the patient to stay at the clinic for a period of 2-3 hours depending on the severity of injury.The rehabilitation care will be in a comprehensive manner by skilled professionals like physiotherapist,physicians,nurses,speech therapist, occupational therapist.There will be continuous monitoring on the clinical conditions of the patient.This setting is very beneficial for patients after stroke,head injury as they may be prone to serious complications.The cons of the settings are it needs admission,the relative will have to attend the patient during the length of stay ,the patient will not be able to work .and the cost of care also increases.

2) Outpatient rehab clinic:After couple of weeks being in the hospital after stroke the patient will be discharged and if the patient is clinically better to be able to travel alone or with assistance an outpatient rehab clinic can be choosed .where in the patient is subject to high or moderate intensity physiotherapy for 1-2 hours a day .This care will be provided in turns by a speech therapist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist.This care will be quick and doesn't need the patient to be admitted in the clinic.Thus the patient can resume his or her normal work The cons of this centre is the patient will have to travel everyday to the clinic or a relative will have to assist the patient in traveling to the clinic.It will not be a comprehensive care as it is for a short duration.This type of care can be choosed only in a later stage when the patient is healthy enough to travel .
