Difference between male urethra and female urethra

              Male urethra

                       * Length of male urethra is 20 cm.

                       * Male urethra carries both urine and semen to outside of the body.

                       * Male urethra opens outside of the body through urinogenital aperture.

                       * It consist of three regions,

                                            * Penial region (15cm).

                                            * membranious (1cm).

                                            * Prostatic urethra (4cm).

            Female urethra

                           * Length of female urethra is 4cm.

                           * Female urethra carries urine only to outside of the body.

                           * Female urethra opens through urinary aperture present in front of the vaginal

                              aperture.

                           * No dividing areas or regions in case of female urethra.
