Human Resource Department (HRD) for a company because of following:

Helps in process of recruitment: An Human resources department can help in hiring the right people with the required talent for the company. It is necessary to understand the need and importance of correct people in the organization. The Human resource department is responsible for training the employees and making them technically educated so that they fit the requirements of the company and help the company in growing .

Payroll management: Timely Payment of salaries and wages is an Important aspect to keep the employees motivated. Hence it is important that a regular check is kept on the fact that salaries and wages are being paid in time. Secondly it is also important to to ensure that all the necessary labour laws are being adhered else it can lead to penalties , lawsuits etc . Hence to avoid all these a human resource department becomes essential for an organization.

Improving Corporate reputation: The way a company takes care of it's employees plays a major role in improving the reputation of the company. Thus reputation helps the company in recruiting the efficient and hard working employees. This will be achieved when human resource department is there to take care of the needs of the employees.

Providing a Safe Working environment: Human Resource Department is responsible for ensuring that employees have a safe working environment as they are the biggest asset for a company. Employees satisfaction is very important as it will help the company to retain them. Human resource department keeps a tight check on behavioural activities of the employees and any unacceptable behavior is reported to the higher level authority. With All these considerations human resource department creates a safe environment for employees .

Appraisals : The human resource department is responsible for setting the standards and benchmarks which will make an employee eligible for appraisals . These appraisals encourages employees to give their best shot and work hard for the company. Secondly human resource department keeps a close chack on the performances of all employees which helps in determining which employees deserve the awards .  

Giving adequate training to employees: The human resource department is responsible for ensuring that latest development in the technologies are adapted within the organization and employees are encouraged to use them in their day to day tasks .This is accomplished by providing adequate training to employees which will make them more efficient in their work. Such training should be given to both old and new employees .
