1. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that prohibits health care providers and healthcare organizations that receive Federal funds or assistance from discriminating against HIV positive persons.

2. Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) that prohibits discrimination by employers, places of public accommodation, housing, and state and local government organisations.
