women has shorter  urethra than males. which is shortne the distance to enter the bacteria into urethra....having a new sexual partner also increase Urinary tract infections...sexually active women. yes I agree .

flush the bacteria out of the bladder and urinary tract by using drinking water.....you are well hydrated,frequently go to urinating

bacteria are hang to anus...,so we can wipe from front to back.....especially after bowel movements...

use soap and water before sex to clear urethra from front to back....after sex urinating is help to pushes any bacteria entered in urethra

spermicide lubricants and condoms are have increase bacteria growth..if u have UTI avoid this products.

treatment options are: self care like washing and cleaning.....

low dose antibiotics...

vaginal estrogen therapy for postmenopausal women

single dose antibiotic for UTI are caused by sexually active persons.

in case seven UTI intravenous antibiotics are giving to patient in hospital....

antibiotics like ceftrioxone,trimethoprim, sulfamethoxazole, fosfomycin,cephalexin, nitrofurantoin.etc.
