Option (C) is correct

From the figure it is clear that the image obtained by the viewer will be the apparent image of an object formed at a raised height ( closer to the surface of water). This is because rays of light coming out from water (denser medium) gets refracted ( bend away from normal) at the boundary of water and air ( rarer medium) surface. On producing refracted rays backward , they meet at somewhere at raised height from bottom as shown in figure that does not correspond to the actual position of real object.

HENCE:

1) Virtual image is formed

2)Image formed is not at the same position but appears to be raised from bottom

3) image is formed at closer to the viewer due to bending of light at water air interface
