I need to understand why fruits such as grapes and tomatoes are more elastic than carrots/lettuce. I don't understand why this is the case.
Elasticity implies the degree of responsiveness of quantity demanded/supplied due to change in the price level, keeping other factors constant. Fruits and tomatoes are considered to be elastic in nature because Amy change in the price would impact the quantity demanded. For instance if the price of fruits like grapes rises by $2 then the quantity demanded would definitely fall.
Whereas goods like lettuce and carrots are necessity goods and often categories as inelastic in nature. As the change in prices would not impact the quantity demanded. Carrots and lettuce have become part of daily staple diet and it is almost impossible to live without them. On the other side goods like fruits are considered to be mildly luxurious goods

Why does Thevenin's Theorem work? I understand how to use it but I don't understand why it works. I have been reading my textbook and can follow the procedure, but I want to understand on a deeper level why the author does what they do. So far I know that the steps are 1. Find Vth, the open terminal voltage 2. Find isc, the short circuit current Vth 3. Rth isc But I don't know why these steps work. I...

Please explain well. I need to understand why the pH will not equal 1.00. 3. Explain why the pH of a 0.050 M H2SO4 solution is not 1.00. Will the actual pH be greater than or less than 1.00, and why?
(1)Product differentiation makes the demand for a monopolistically competitive firm’s product A perfectly elastic. B more elastic than in a competitive market. C perfectly inelastic. D less elastic than that of a monopoly. E less elastic than in a competitive market. 2. Successful advertising under monopolistic competition might A help consumers understand why products in the industry are homogeneous. B reduce the price elasticity of demand for that firm’s output. C create a high barrier to entry. D make the...

On my note, I have "When TR is rising, Ed is greater than 1; TR falling, Ed is smaller than 1; maximizing TR point, Ed is equal to 1" " If firm lowers price it sells more output If Ed is smaller than 1 (inelastic demand); TR decreases If Ed is greater than 1 (elastic demand); TR increases" I don't understand how profit maximization has anything to do with Ed. Thx for ur help
I have personally never done this. I don't understand why so many sites do, if you do your development on a development server why would you ever need to shut down your production site? I have always wondered about this. What are they doing during this time, what requires doing this?
I posted the correct answer above but I don't fully understand why. Why does aluminum react with the lone pair instead of CH3Cl resulting in an ortho/para methyl group امرا CH,Cl AICI,
