Answer #1

1). Answer .

Physician order rate ; 30 ml/hr
Here the Drop factor is 25 gtt/ml, the flow rate would be = 30 x 25 / 60
because here the time available is 1 hour, then the flow rate = 12.5 gtt/ min

2.) Answer ;

Here the mentioned order is 500 mg/6hr
Available amount in hand is 400 mg/ 5ml,
So the 1 ml of this drug would contain 80 mg, here nurse should need to provide 500 mg.
hence the value would be = 500/80
= 6.25
That would be 6.3 ml per 6 hour.

3) Answer ;

Mentioned order is 0.6 gm, it can be expressed as 600 mg
The amount in the hand is 300 mg
So the amount the nurse should administer is 2 tablet.

4) Answer ;

Here the given order is 2 liter of fluid in 15 hour
the given order can be written in other form as 2000 ml, so for the 1 hour = 2000/ 15
= 133.33 ml/hr
It can be rounded has 133 ml / hr
