You will propose a new policy, program, or intervention aimed at improving nutrition in a community in the United States.

The proposal should CLEARLY ADDRESS each of the following points:

Background on what the intervention aims to change and why it is of concern in the US.

Target community and population: Why did you choose this population and what are the existing conditions for the community?

Note: The community can be specific or broad, i.e. New immigrants in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland; Elementary school children at MLK Elementary school; Senior Citizens in Alameda County; Pregnant women in Washington state; the U.S. population.

What is one goal of your program or policy and what is one objective (make sure that it is SMART)?

Give an example of another policy or program that exists for your target community and/or population. How has that policy/program been successful? What will make/made your policy, program, or intervention different from the existing policy/program/intervention?

Planning the program: What information will you need to ensure that the program/policy is successful? How will that information be used when designing your program/policy?

Evaluating the program: What type of evaluation will you use to analyze your program once it is implemented? More specifically, what evaluation design will you use and why? Will the data you evaluate be quantitative or qualitative? Please explain.

In the United States there is lot of minorities and low-income group they are lacking in nutrition and getting malnutrition..

Target population children under 14years and pregnant woman in the community..due to nutrition deficiency there is increased mortality rate among them..There must be SMART (specific, measurable, Acheivable, Realistic and Time- phased ) goal and aim for improving and implementing existing program..Health promotion should be focus on lifestyle choices and behaviour like poor nutrition and sedantary lifestyle..

Among community individual choices familiy, social environment, organization impact health and ability to improve their nutritional status..

RE- AIM( Reach, Efficacy, Attainability, Implementation and Maintenance) another best way to improve health with implementation choices..
