Write a comment for the following paragraph.

After reading the chapter I can’t help but be drawn to Spencer’s outlook on society. The strong will live and the weak will die “survival of the fittest” seems to be individualistic so there is no true group effort. Societies are evolving from a lower form (“barbarian”) to higher (“civilized”) forms. As generations pass, a society’s most capable and intelligent members (“the fittest”) survive, while the less capable die out. These fittest members pro-duce a more advanced society—unless misguided do-gooders get in the way and help the less fit (the lower classes) survive. (Henslin, 2015) This is how many people view the world today the only problem I have with it is that it leaves no room for compassion. I would go as far as to say that this embedded into our very foundation and taught at very young ages. This is in everything proposes competition and a victor is to be determined. We could take this all the way back to the 16th century when jousting tournaments were around, it was thought that only the strong would be the worthy victors. From one sport to the next even in the world of business tycoons "it’s a dog eat dog world”.

Answer #1

"its a dog eat dog world" the phrase simply implies cut throat competition. here the most competitive and the fittest person wins and the other loose and it eventually leads to monopoly of the few people. there is no group effort here and everyone fights for his/her ulterior motive, everything is self driven and nothing works for the society as a whole. the phrase applies not only to individuals but also to firms who fight against each other to make there product stand out. and for that they just go to any extent and sometimes does not care about quality or good and bad in it, they only think about there own profit. the truth is that its not new to the society, in the past it was followed for survival and now its followed to rule the weaks. business firms are now getting into cut throat price competition without thinking about the quality and once the competitiors are out of the business the monopoly power will exploit the customers. to give an example i would like to talk about a telicom company in INDIA which is JIO by reliance. its providing customers the service in the cheapest price possible without even taking care of the quality to take competitiors out from the business and to fight with JIO other telicom companies are also cutting there price so its a dog eat dog world in telicom business now.
