Answer #1

4)

Advantage

fractional distillation is very efficient process of separating mixture of multiple chemicals of very close boiling points or densities very efficiently on a single stage fractional plate combination according to customization from the customer end.

Disadvantage

one of the disadvantage of fractional distillation is that it is very costly both to install and after sell service to maintain the machine in proper functioning condition.

5) Addition of boiling chips or stirring helps to eliminate the bumping of the liquid on the flask into the condenser due to extreme heating and thereby controls the boiling through out the process.
